This help system is a student project that I built at the British Columbia Institute of Technology:

  • I produced a functioning HTML5 help system for a real-world product.
  • I omitted some product features because this project required exactly 10 topic pages.
  • This project is in no way affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, nor authored by Google.

How to delete notes

You can delete notes to discard those that you no longer need. Deleting notes helps you keep your notes uncluttered.

Deleting notes

Delete a note with the Delete Note command accessed through the More More Button button near the bottom edge of that note:

  1. To access the More More Button button
    • when you want to open and delete an existing note, click on that note.
    • Or
    • when you want to delete an existing note without opening it, hover the Cursor over that note.
  2. To access the More drop-down menu, click the More More Button button.
  3. To delete the note, click Delete Note from the More drop-down menu.

The deleted note moves to the Trash. You will lose access to that note when it is permanently deleted from the Trash after 7 days. Before permanent deletion occurs, you can restore the note from the Trash:

  • To restore the note from the Trash
    • when you deleted the note less than 10 seconds ago, click Undo in the Note Trashed notification near the bottom of Google Keep.
    • Or
    • when you deleted the note more than 10 seconds ago, retrieve the note from the Trash:
      1. To open the Main menu, click on the Main Menu Main Menu Button button.
      2. To open the Trash, click on Trash near the bottom of the Main menu.
      3. To access the More More Button button, hover over or click on the note that you want to restore.
      4. To access the More drop-down menu, click on the More More Button button near the bottom-left corner of the note.
      5. To restore the note, click Restore from the More drop-down menu.
